Cafe Press payment has arrived
Yesterday I got a check from CafePress in the mail. It was for a whopping $34.60. Most of that income came from Christmas sales. So, technically, that was before I began my journey to one million pesos.
You may be thinking that $34.60 is not a whole lot of money. And you would be right. However, this is totally passive income. Whenever I think of something funny, I open up Photoshop and put it down and then create a freebie Cafe Press shop with the design. So, all in all, the $34.60 is pretty sweet when you realize the lack of work that it took.
Cafe Press payment options
I was thinking about cashing out my $34.60 in my Cafe Press account since technically it was earned prior to the start of this little goal. So, I was poking around my account on Cafe Press looking to see where to put in my PayPal address.
Guess what? They don’t have that as a payment option! They don’t even have direct deposit as a payment option!
Nope. Just plain old paper checks.
Lame.
Buy crap from Cafe Press; I make pesos - how beautiful
In my quest for more passive income I have added a couple of new designs to Cafe Press.
Introducing the Peso Millionaire Cafe Press store:
Everyone needs this yard sign. Or you could go with a more conservative t-shirt or button. Whatever.
Just buy some of the Cafe Press crap so I can make some pesos. Or trick your friends into buying it.
Passive income with Cafe Press
I think the real key to being a successful online money maker is creating a large stream of passive income. Unfortunately this is not the kind of thing that can be done over night. Yet it is something that I have been working on this past month.
One of the quickest and easiest ways to create some passive income is through Cafe Press. The bad part about using Cafe Press for passive income is that it is such a small stream that it is almost a trickle.
However, creating an image and uploading it to Cafe Press does not take much time at all. At least for me, but I am doing simple designs. Something a bit more complex would take longer but it would also probably sell better. So, go figure. For now though I am fine with simple designs and a trickle of passive income.
Take this design for example.
I threw this together in about a minute and uploaded it to Cafe Press last Thursday. By the weekend I had re-uploaded it because someone had flagged it as inappropriate and made $2.00 off of it. The whole “flagging things as inappropriate” is really the only problem with Cafe Press. Apparently some douchebag Republican took offense to it and flagged it which just meant that I had to rename the file and re-upload it. A pain but not a deal breaker. I made $2.00 for about 5 minutes worth of total work.
Whenever I hear a funny phrase on TV or in real life I make a design like this and throw it up on Cafe Press. That’s where this design came from. I heard someone say it and thought it might be something that would sell pretty well. Looks like I might have been right.
Peso Makin’ Methods Currently In Use
As I have mentioned before, I do have some other sites that are currently making quite a few pesos each month. However, with the start of this site I have vowed to try out some new peso makin’ avenues.
So, as of now, here are the ways I am trying to make more money online this month.
First across several of my sites I am utilizing the services that send you cash for writing up short little reviews. I think we all know the names of these places and I am not going to write about them as I do not want spanked by the almight Google gods.
I also have several freebie Cafe Press stores that make sales semi-regularly. Whenever I think of something funny or offensive I throw it up on Cafe Press and wait for other sadistic minds to make me some pesos.
AdSense is currently on almost all of the pages, but that is about to change as it just does not perform well on some of them.
I have a CJ account but have yet to make any affiliate money. This is something that I plan on beginning to experiment with more.
There are also some things that I am thinking about doing. I was looking at the BidXL widget from One Year Goal, which is kind of similar to that topspots widget. Something like that might be of interest to me in the future. And private ads is also something of interest.
One million pesos - here I come, but it just my take me a while cause this burro I’m a’riding is a little slow!
