Page rank smackdowns hurts right in the wallet
Well, it was bound to happen. My remaining sites that had a page rank were hit with the almighty Google smackdown. What does this mean? It means a serious decrease in online income for this gringo. That means more hard work on those affiliate programs. It also means trying to beef up posts and content on my pages that have not yet attained a page rank. Damn Google for messing with me and my quest for one million pesos.
Scrapers are a menace
I have several websites that I work on. And not surprisingly there are some scrapers stealing my content on a couple of sites.
When I notice this happening the first thing that I do is email the hosting company. And nine times out of ten they will take the site down. Well, recently I emailed a hosting company and got back this big long email on these steps that I needed to take to prove that the content was indeed mine. What the hell? So, I notice on the scraper page that they are running AdSense, so I know that stealing copyrighted material is something that can get you banned by AdSense. So, I email AdSense. I get back a similar response from them.
Why are these places, one being Google, making it easier for the scraper than the copyright holder?
Smorty owes me money for referrals
About a month ago I wrote about wondering is Smorty is having cash flow problems. I wrote that because they owed me money at the time and had not paid me in several weeks. Eventually they did pay me. Sort of.
You see, they paid me for the opportunities that I had taken. However, they have not paid me for my referrals. Sure, it is not a lot of money. But I would rather be making that measly interest off of it than let them!
The verdict is in - stay away from Smorty if you want to get paid.
My #1 search term: Hispanic Hotties
You know what brings the most people to this page? The search term “Hispanic hotties”
I hope that they are not too disappointed when they get here. Of course, I do love the Hispanic ladies and think I know a hot Latina woman when I see one.
Take Salma Hayek for example. That is one hot Hispanic mama! And she was so hot with Penelope Cruz in “Bandidas”

I also enjoy the lovely Alana de La Garza from Law & Order and CSI: Miami. (I can’t believe they put her with that douche David Caruso in that show!).

And I have always loved Constance Marie from the George Lopez show. She was what made that show worth watching.

And my absolute fave has to be Laura Elena Harring. I could watch anything that she is in - and I have watched some shite just to see her, let me tell you!

Hopefully, this will help out the peeps that came here looking for Hispanic hotties.
I need some more baskets for my eggs
In looking over my peso making, I see that I have most of my eggs in the same basket. That is not a good idea. I need to get some more baskets for my eggs.
I have said before that I need to work on my affiliate income and that is true. I think I need to work on piggybacking that with working on some niche sites. That way I can spread out what I am working on. Right now most of my sites have a similar theme or two.
I also need to work on SEO techniques and getting more views on my sites. That way can start doing some private ads and work on making the big bucks like John Chow.
Wonder how many baskets I should get?
Ebay is screwing people selling digital items
In case you missed it, another new eBay policy went into effect yesterday.
Gone are the days of selling digital download items on eBay. And that really sucks for me. I was making around $150 a month in total passive income selling a digital download item for $4.99.
The new eBay policy no longer allows digital download items in auction listings. Instead, all digital download items have to be listed in a 30-day classified listing. The listing fee for that is $9.95!!!! That is outrageous!
That means no more selling digital items on eBay for this gringo. Sure, it is only around $150 a month, but it still hurts.
More info on the new policy is here.
Success!
Today I got my $6 payment from Blogsvertise! Woo hoo!
And I got about half of what I am owed from Smorty! No clue why they only sent half. After all this time they could at least not be total douches about it and send me the full amount.
I think it is safe to say that I am officially done with both Blogsvertise and Smorty.
Instead I am trying to get away from the work of doing the sites that pay you to blog about this or that. Instead I am working on getting some great content on my other sites. And I just bought three more domain names that I will need to work on. The goal is to get some true passive income working for me.
Is Smorty having cash flow problems?
Smorty owes me around $125. According to their blogger FAQ bloggers get paid on a weekly basis as stated below.

I have been waiting on my payment for about 3 weeks now. And it seems that I am not the only blogger in this not getting paid boat. There is an entire thread about it on the Smorty Forums.
So what gives? Is Smorty having some cash flow problems? Has Smorty turned into a scam? Now, I have gotten paid by them before. In fact, I got paid a little over $100 last month. Of course, nothing has come my way this month. And, well, I’d rather earn interest on it than let them!
Some people on the Smorty Forums report getting rude email replies when they have emailed to inquire about the payments. Maybe advertisers should be made aware of this payment issue with Smorty.
I can’t say that I will continue to use Smorty as a way to make money online. How about you?
Blogsvertise is a joke
I have been signed up with Blogsvertise for a little over a month now. Want to guess how many money making opps I have gotten from them?
One!
And it has a payout of $6.00! And I do not get paid for it until 30 days after submitting it, which will be Sunday.
So, 30 days and one measly $6.00 opportunity. Yeah, I do not think I will be using Blogsvertise here in the quest for one million pesos.
Another Google smack
It is so nice to know that Google is still smacking people with a zero page rank. Another one of my sites showed up with a nice little zero on my page rank toolbar this morning.
Luckily it was just a blogspot site. But it will still reduce the cash potential from that site.
