What does a gringo do with a million pesos?
You might be wondering what I plan to do with the handsome sum of one million pesos when I actually get up to that amount. Well, here is how that will go down:
- I will take one half of the money (approx. $45,000) and use it for myself to pay down some bills and what not. Make no mistake though, I will have earned every penny of it as blogging is hard work!
- I will take the other half (approx. $45,000) and do something pro Brown Pride with it! All jokes aside, I plan on looking for something Hispanic-positive to do with it. That might be finding a charity that is Mexican or Hispanic or I have also toyed with the idea of giving it to a filmmaker that is making a all-Hispanic film or short film. As I get closer to year end (Dec. 2008) and closer to that million peso mark I will talk more about this decision and possibly even let readers help me to decide.
One gringo and the dream for a million pesos…
Tomorrow starts the quest for one million pesos. I will spend the next year trying to become a peso millionaire. And it’s a leap year, so I get an extra day to do it!
My goal is to try to make this million peso fortune from all online ventures. Now, I am not totally new to the whole making money online thing. I have some other sites and I have been blogging since March 2007. I started testing out the online money making waters sometime around August 2007.
But now it is time to get serious. I plan on trying out all sorts of things from affiliate programs to reviews to Café Press. So, pop in from time to time to see how I am doing. Or sign up for my feed to get all of my updates delivered to your email or feed reader.
And let’s see if one gringo with a dream can become a peso millionaire in a year.

Yes, the Peso Millionaire to-be is still here. And I am still working to get this thing up and going.
As you can see, I have added some nice little 125 x 125 ad blocks to the site.
Now I just need to decide how much I wanna charge for them. I am thinking around $18.50 USD for a month. That makes it like 200 Mexican Pesos.
Of course, I don’t know what the going rate is for a no-name site like this.
